Love to Dream's Swaddle UP™ helps baby quickly soothe and establish a peaceful sleep routine from day one, completely eliminating the need for loose blankets in the crib, making it a safer option.

Unlike traditional swaddles, which hold baby's arms tightly or across the chest, the unique ARMS UP design (patented wings) allows baby to sleep in their natural position with their arms up. Compared to a traditional wrap, it's much quicker and easier to use, especially at 3 a.m. Wonderful for parents and babies!

CHARACTERISTICS
• Its TOG 1.0 cotton fabric is ideal for room temperatures between 20o - 24o C.

• It is made from a single layer of high-quality breathable cotton, to reduce the risk of overheating.

• Double zipper for easy diaper changing.

• Certified “hip healthy” by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute allowing for recommended hip and leg flexion.

• Material: 93% cotton, 7% elastane.

TIPS FOR USE / CARE
1. Why use Swaddle UP™?

Medical research suggests that swaddles are beneficial in helping newborns sleep better. Swaddling a baby can calm their “startle reflex” that wakes them up and disrupts their sleep. Our patented, award-winning SWADDLE UPTM helps baby adjust quickly and establish a calm sleep routine from day one. Importantly, it completely eliminates the need for loose blankets in the crib, making it a safer option for babies.

2. What size SWADDLE UP™ should I purchase? For the best fit result, select the size according to your child's weight, not their height or age. You should stop using the Stage 1 sleep sack when your baby shows signs of trying to roll over and transition to STAGE 2.

3. Can my baby use Swaddle UP™ from day one?

Without a doubt, this is really the best time to start. If your baby weighs between 5-8 lbs at birth, choose SWADDLE UPTM in size Newborn. If your baby weighs between 7-13 lbs at birth, choose Swaddle UP™ in size Small.

4. Is it safe to use a blanket over the Swaddle UP™?

We recommend that it is safest to avoid all loose blankets in the crib and instead add extra layers under your Swaddle UP™. Please refer to the guide on dressing your baby (TOG chart).

5. My baby is growing very fast. Can I just buy a larger size sleeping bag and let him or her grow? As tempting as it may be to buy a larger size, unfortunately the answer is no. It is very important that you always buy the correct size sleeping bag for your baby, based on their current weight. If you use a bag that is too big for your baby, the closure could be too loose, which can be potentially dangerous.

6. My baby's legs are touching the bottom of the garment, should I move up to the next size? If your baby's legs are touching the bottom of the sleeping bag but the fit all around is correct, please continue using it. It's not too short! The length of the bag has been specially designed to be slightly shorter so that as your baby grows, he or she can push up against the bottom.

7. Is it unhygienic for my baby to suck on their hands when they are covered in SWADDLE UP™? The sleep sack is unique in that it allows your baby access to their hands to self-soothe. Some babies love to suck on their hands as they fall asleep - unfortunately, this means that the 'wings' of the garment can get a little wet. Parents should wash any garment after use, if it is soiled. We recommend purchasing more than one so that you always have a clean one while one is in the wash.

8. What is the easiest way to transition my baby?

Once your baby shows signs of trying to roll over, you should stop swaddling and make the transition. Start by removing one wing and after several nights of your baby getting used to this routine, remove the other and begin bedtime without both wings. Some babies make the transition within a few nights, others may take a few weeks.

Care:

• Wash before first use.

• Close zipper before washing.

• Machine wash warm, gentle cycle with like colors.

• Tumble dry low.

• Do not soak or bleach the garment.
