What is PIUR silicone sheet and what is it used for?
PIUR® Silicone Scar Sheet is an exceptional product, made from 100% medical silicone and 1.8mm thick. It is soft, comfortable, self-adhesive and reusable, specifically designed to flatten, soften and fade normal, hypertrophic and keloid scars. It is a unique product in Chile, especially recommended for skin with a tendency towards hypertrophic and keloid scarring, being ideal for use in post-operative settings, including cesarean scars .
When to use it and how to use it?
It is indicated for use when the wound is completely closed, ideally within the first month of healing. The scar should be free of scabs or open wounds. It should be applied directly to clean skin, without creams or oils. To reuse it, it should be washed with warm water and soap, and if necessary, micropore tape or Fixomull can be used in the corners for better adhesion.

How to use

- Wash both the silicone sheet and the scar at least once a day with soap and warm water.
- If necessary, micropore tape or Fixomull can be used to improve fixation.
Additional Considerations
- The sheets have a useful life of at least 15 days from the first use, and can be extended up to 60 days with proper care.
- It is recommended to use it daily for a minimum period of 3 months to observe significant changes.
Use in scars from cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries
Before using this product on scars from cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, it is recommended to obtain the authorization of a specialist. In skin with high sensitivity, consider the use of occlusive products due to the accumulation of moisture that can cause irritation.
Intended use
Designed for external use only in the management of scars, both existing and new. Not to be used on open wounds.
Storage and handling conditions
Store in a cool, dry place and handle with clean hands.
Warnings and precautions
In case of irritation or adverse symptoms, discontinue use and seek medical attention if symptoms persist.
Results in keloids
Although complete disappearance of a keloid cannot be guaranteed, continued use can help improve its appearance and reduce discomfort.
